Our Mission​

To motivate young people to be better citizens by developing their character, leadership skills, and sense of civic responsibility through structured military training, community service, and academic achievement. We prepare students for success in college, careers, and life while fostering pride, discipline, and respect.

What is Jrotc?

Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) is a federally sponsored leadership program at Lakes High School.
What do you do?

• Leadership labs (every other week)
• Physical training (every other week)
• Special teams (optional)
• Community service

There is no obligation to join the military.

Recent Achievements

Lakes High School JROTC recently completed its JROTC Program for Accreditation (JPA) a formal inspection conducted by the 8th Brigade, U.S. Army Cadet Command that evaluates a battalion's overall effectiveness across teaching, learning, and program standards. The Lancer Battalion earned an overall score of 97.05%, achieving the designation of Honor Unit with Distinction the highest recognition awarded to JROTC programs nationwide.
